Pacific Palisades

Known as “Where the Mountains Meet the Sea,” the Palisades is a very affluent and primarily residential area, with a mixture of large private homes, small (usually older) houses, condominiums, and apartments. It has a small central business district on Sunset Boulevard, consisting of restaurants, stores, banks, and offices, known as “the village.” It also includes some large parklands and many hiking trails. Palisades Charter High School serves the neighborhood. Pacific Palisades is located between Brentwood to the east, Malibu to the west, Santa Monica to the southeast, the Santa Monica Bay to the southwest, and the Santa Monica Mountains to the north. Malibu

The city of Malibu is a 21-mile strip of Pacific coastline, a beachfront community famous for its warm, sandy beaches, and for being the home of countless movie stars and others associated with the Southern California entertainment industries. Most Malibu residents live within a few hundred yards of Pacific Coast Highway, which traverses the city, with some residents living up to a mile away from the beach up narrow canyons. The city is also bounded (more or less) by Topanga Canyon to the east, the Santa Monica Mountains to the north, the Pacific Ocean to the south, and Ventura County to the west. Santa Monica

Santa Monica is situated on Santa Monica Bay, it is surrounded on three sides by the city of Los Angeles – Pacific Palisades on the northwest, Brentwood on the north, West Los Angeles on the northeast, Mar Vista on the east, and Venice on the southeast.

Because of its agreeable climate, Santa Monica had become a famed resort town by the early 20th century. The city has experienced a boom since the late 1980s through the revitalization of its downtown core with significant job growth and increased tourism. The city is also well known as one of the leading sustainable cities in all of the US. Brentwood

The Los Angeles community of Brentwood is located at the base of the Santa Monica Mountains, bounded by the San Diego Freeway on the east, Wilshire Boulevard onthe south, the Santa Monica city limits on the southwest, the border of Topanga State Park on the west and Mulholland Drive along the ridgeline of the mountains on the north. The community was founded in 1923 by Alphonzo E. Bell, Sr, approximately 17 miles west of downtown Los Angeles and includes some of the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains and borders the north side of UCLA along Sunset Boulevard. Bel Air

Bel Air is a wealthy and prominent residential community in the hills of Westside of the city of Los Angeles. Together with Beverly Hills and Holmby Hills itforms the Platinum Triangle of Los Angeles neighborhoods. Homes and estates in the Platinum Triangle are among the most expensive in the United States. The community was founded in 1923 by Alphonzo E. Bell, Sr, approximately 17 miles west of downtown Los Angeles and includes some of the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains and borders the north side of UCLA along Sunset Boulevard. Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills is a city in the western part of Los Angeles County, California, United States. Beverly Hills and the neighboring city of West Hollywood are together entirely surrounded by the city of Los Angeles. The area’s “Platinum Triangle” of wealthy neighborhoods is formed by Beverly Hills and the Los Angeles neighborhoods of Bel-Air and Holmby Hills. Beverly Hills is bordered on the north by Bel-Air and the Santa Monica Mountains, on the east by West Hollywood, the Carthay neighborhood of Los Angeles, and the Fairfax District of Los Angeles, and on the south by the Beverlywood.    More Info…
